Jay Walton

Managing Member

Jay serves as Manager Member for Big Bend Timber Services, LLC and BBTS Logging, LLC. He began working for the family-owned Big Bend Timber Services, a timber dealership, in 1997 and took over management in 2001. Working together with his brother, Ben, the business has seen exponential growth and in 2013 they started a second company, BBTS Logging, to vertically integrate.  He is also involved with various partnerships, primarily concerned with real estate holdings.

Jay attended the University of Florida, graduating in 1993 with a degree in Finance and a minor in Economics.  He currently serves on the board of Aucilla Christian Academy as treasurer and the newly formed Cold Hardy Citrus Association board. He previously served on the Jefferson Country Club board and is a supporter of many Jefferson County events and functions.

Jay is an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Monticello. He is married to Katrina Walton and has two children, Joe and Olivia.
